The Sony PRS is one of the biggest rivals of the Amazon Kindle. Released a few weeks later Kindle, Sony e-book reader is quickly catching up in terms of sales and popularity. Both e-books shares basically the same functions. The biggest difference in the characteristics of Amazon's Kindle and Sony PRS 505 would be its price, design, ease of use and readability.
A major difference is the price of these two models. Kindle costs about $ 100 more than the model from Sony. Will when the device has additional features that justify this hefty premium? There are nine buttons on the left of the screen that allows you to easily access the pages of the book that you have selected. The only set back is that the page turns Sony PRS 505 is a little slow compared to Kindle.
Readability would be another highlight of the model from Sony. The screen is larger than the Kindle, which is a big advantage. In addition, Sony has improved the readability of the screen under bright light where the words on the screen becomes more visible under the bright lights. The screen contrast is clear, but still easy on the eyes.
